Should I take performing arts?

May Stands: I do performing arts. It's the best decision I have ever made. I enjoy it, it helps me, it's good for proffesional agency CV's, television, theatre... anything. But to be honest, you need potential and passion for performing, if you feel you have it then you should deffinatley go for it. If you're having doubts, then, don't.

Scot Rotruck: It's really up to you, but if you can take it other years and can't take the other classes you want other years then go with the other ones.

Willa Holte: this is the same dilemma I had when debating what to take... I was in Health Occupations and hated it, and then i said "what can i take"... taking classes allow you the opportunity to do things you've always wondered about. For me, I always thought I could study Art, so I took it, and found I love reading about art, but its not a passion. i like to paint, but i would never attempt to sell my paintings. i took ceramics because i thought i like pottery, and found th! at i didn't have the patience to make pots and cups. i took Film and it was awesome, and realized i love film critiquing, and screenwriter, but couldn't see myself being a Camera Person or a Film Director, unless life somehow orchestrated it later. I took Musical Theater because I knew that music was a passion, and i loved acting, and found that i blossomed... but it took taking those classes and testing them out... all in my sophomore and junior year of high school... now im a senior, and pretty much know what i want to do right now.my advice would be to take the Video Course and take the fashion course... i was curious about film and art, and although i really wanted to continue performing arts, i learned a lot of new things about myself and my interests by simply taking those. i will probably not major in Art because i know now where my interests lie. All this to say: Diversify your Exploration and take things that your curious about, and take something you already like ! and continue it or continue it later. :-)...Show more

De! xter Dingus: I don't have a video camera at home, so it's new to me. But I don't know.

Travis Colomb: Is it smarter to not do the performing arts (because I can do that any year in school), or should I keep doing it? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Jonelle Eligio: do what u feel is right. answer mine please? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtKZv...

Penelope Armond: Art doesn't necessarily have to do with "art" (drawing, coloring, painting, etc.), it mainly has to do with a skill - so basically, performing arts could be also be called the skill of performing.

Jarrod Darnall: You shouldn't really be asking anyone else but yourself about that. Someone out there may like performing arts and you might not enjoy it. Think carefully about what you enjoy, not what you think will be the obvious choice. Talk to your teacher and ask her weather you will be fit to choose performing arts or fashion and video. Talk to a career adviser. Discover your potential in ! the two subjects. Then go with your heart. It will all be good...

Ulrike Hert: Personally it really depends but performing arts is one of those courses that are really cool and personally i think there is a level where you are really good in video course and don't need to take a class anymore if you play around with it alot but in performing arts there is always more stuff to do and more stuff to learn...
