Chadwick Schmelz: Could the question not be rephrased to ask if Black voters are not being racist because they support President Obama so much higher because he is black? Reminds me of the polls in California after the black former mayor of Los Angeles lost the governors race back in the 11970's when racism was made out to be the reason because 30% of white voters supported him but 90% of black voters-the reason had to be the white voters were racist. Same polls showed about 60% of Hispanics voted against him but that was never noted as being racist. Historically in modern elections the black vote for President has been about 70% Democrat and 30% Republican but that chang! ed to about 90% Dem and 10% Republican in the 2008 election though the white vote changed some it was not close to that shift so who was really voting based on race; the white voters or the black voters? Pew is a middle of the road poll typically coming in close to the average findings when polls are averaged; to answer your question some polls are more liberal biased, some more conservative biased and some try to stick to the middle....Show more

Patricia Bolduc: I honestly didn't look at your link, but as someone who works with statistics for a living, I will tell you (in general) that the American public does not understand a thing about statistics/polls...and as such you can really make them say anything you want. You have to be careful what you believe.
