How does speed camera works? Is average speed camera the same as speed camera?

Phil Kuarez: Speed Camera is much much faster than the average camera. The shutter speed is so fast, that it is used to capture images over 1,000 MPH.Why the speed camera flourishes in capturing fast photos is because they take thousands of photos in seconds, compared to about 1-3 photos on a conventional camera. The average camera shutter can take fast images, but they are blurry compared to the speed camera. Hence the name, Built for capturing speeding objects....Show more

Roxane Leathers: oo, i know this one, average speed camera's are normally on a stretch of motorway and there is a number of them that check your speed at certain intervals then at the last one it calculates an average speed over the entire distance. A normal speed camera is a static camera that can be anywhere on the road, including motorways as well, this will take two photos when it detects a speeding car and these can be used to verify if you were speeding at the time judging on how far you m! oved between the two photographs. As-Speed (metres per second) = Distance (m)/Time (s)Can i have the top answer now pleeeeease, i need the points to get to level 2....Show more

Donnie Bolio: speed cameras work by putting tiny sensors under the white or yellow crosswalk lines, and attaching a tiny camera to the stoplight. the tiny sensor under the traffic line detects when a driver runs a red light and/or is going to fast. when the sensor detects that the camera gets three angles of your car: a back license plate, the driver, and the front license plate. maybe after 2 months or weeks, they send you a ticket.
