indoor box turtle habitat and care?

Guy Bonamico: All you have to do is an internet search for Box turtle care, or habitat ... whatever . You'll find plenty of info and I'd suggest joining a Yahoo Group (BT) Box Turtles Their site has tons of good info and links like this http://www.boxturtlesite.info/ You own this Boxie now and they can live to be 100 years old - quite a commitment ! Make sure you study everything you can to provide the proper environment and care because surprisingly there is a lot to know about these guys which could make the difference between living 50 years plus or just 10 or 12!...Show more

Ewa Homrich: Indoor Box Turtle Habitat

Elsie Resner: Box turtles are not tough to keep as I have had one for 22 years. I have mine in a tank and have a basking spot, half logs for hiding, a water dish for it to go in, plants and you kind of get the idea. Mine eats fruits, vegs, meats, and worms, find out from your uncle what kind it is and what he has been feeding it. When you find o! ut what kind it is just look up care sheets in that kind and it will give you infor. on what it needs for a habitat and food.

Terrell Lawman: They eat a lot of different food, but mine love earthworms, slugs and Bil-jac frozen dog food. They also love berries, sweet corn and apples. Here are some links for you.http://www.tortoise.org/general/boxcare.htmlhttp://www.la-spca.org/education/others/box_turtle...http://www.marietta.edu/~mcshaffd/boxt/care.html...Show more
