Shawnna Kusky: The leasing company won't care, as long as the car gets fixed properly. If the parts and the shop that installs them are both manufacturer approved, they'll be perfectly happy. The vehicle is just going in for repairs, not modifications. If the leasing company insists on 'their' shop being used instead of the one you choose, notify your insurance company. They'll contact the leasing company and say "that means you're going to guarantee the work, and we're totally off the hook for that part, right?" and watch the leasing company drop the issue completely....Show more
Dee Depung: You may take it anywhere you choose. The dealership doesn't have any say and your insurance doesnt have any say. The only thing that matters is a qualified body shop repairs it.
Idell Mulliniks: You don't own the car. It's not your decision to make. Talk to the leasing company or (gasp!) READ the lease contract you signed when you got the car. It will tell you what! to do.
Francisco Schonhardt: you may have to re read the contract since it is not owned by you. If it doesn't specify then take it to whomever you please.
Madlyn Fallis: You can have it repaired where you want but will be responsible for the outcome.
