Corrina Faro: That statement is both true and false all the same.It is true because if you just have your ignition turned but your car not started, your system will drain your battery anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on how big your system is and how much CCA your battery has. Eventually, if your battery gets drained enough, your alt. will not be able to recharge it.It is also false because if you have your vehicle is turned on, your alt. is constantly charging your battery, and is not making any dents in it's life expectancy. The only thing you have to worry about is your alt.. Having a system in a vehicle increases the stress on your alt. and lowers it's overall life span. If you notice your head lights dimming while driving, then it's time to get an electrical upgrade....Show more
Ileen Oshell: Just hook up another battery in the back. Its very easy and you won't ever have to worry about the car dying.
